Cost of Services:

Consultation - Initial consultation visit -  2 to 2.5 hrs - $170.00

Follow-up visit 1.5 hr - $95.00.


Massage: Marma or Traditional - $85.00  1 hr with Ayurvedic oil blend

    With additional ginger back therapy 1.5 hrs - $95.00 (during cold months)


Karna Purana - $50.00  1 hr - warm sesame oil in ears plus facial massage.


Netra Basti - $65.00  1 hr -  bathing eye in warm ghee. Done over two days, one eye at a time. If both eyes are done at the same time the cost is $85.00.


Shirodhara $150.00  1.5 hrs  -  Shirodhara is warm oil poured onto the forehead for a sustained period of time. The shirodhara treatment is concluded with a gentle head and foot massage.

PLEASE NOTE: Shirodhara is available only to clients who have previously had an initial consultation or have been seen at the Ayurvedic Institute or another Ayurvedic institution for panchakarma.

Ayurvedic nutrition/cooking classes.

•The cooking class is based on the Wise Earth School practice of sadhana, or spiritual practice.

•The class includes an introduction to Ayurveda and each participant will learn their own constitution or dosha.

•The class includes learning to make ghee, a kichadi class, a vegetable class, a grain and bean class, and a masala or spice class. Participants will come to understand which foods, spices and styles of cooking are best for their dosha, leading to better digestion and health.

•Ayurvedic cooking can be applied to any style of cooking; Italian, Middle Eastern, American, etc.

Introduction to Ayurveda

This class can be presented to your yoga studio or at your center.

The class includes:

A brief history of this ancient system of medicine

An introduction to the doshic system of vata, pitta and kapha, or Ayurvedic constitutional system

The qualities of each dosha/constitution are reviewed and recommendations are given for moving toward balance in mind, body, and spirit

As time allows, participants are assisted in determining their dosha/Ayurvedic constitution



Ayurveda and Yoga - Harmonizing the Sister Sciences

•This is an interactive lecture and asana class offered to students and teachers of yoga.

•Understanding of the dosha system brings balance and renewed understanding to the practice of yoga asana and pranayama.

Services Provided:

Ayurvedic Consultation

• Health concerns of the client are addressed from the Ayurvedic perspective.

  1. Personal and family medical history along with diet and lifestyle are reviewed, and a brief physical examination is done including a western medicine and an Ayurvedic clinical assessment.

  2. Ayurvedic recommendations are made for improving health and wellness.

• Suggestions will include diet and lifestyle recommendations.  Herbal remedies as well as yoga and pranayama may be suggested to assist healing.

Ayurvedic Massage, and Treatments

  1. Marma massage identifies specific areas on the body that have a relation, through the pranic channels, to organs, tissues and energies in the body. Marma massage is energizing, balancing and calming to the whole bodily system.

     Traditional Ayurvedic massage: This is the massage used in the context of panchakarma and is a clearing and relaxing massage. Both massages are given with an Ayurvedic blend of oils.

  1. Karna Purana: An Ayurvedic treatment where warm sesame oil is gently poured into the ear. This treatment addresses headaches, TMJ problems, tension in the jaw, neck and shoulders. A facial massage is included in this treatment.

  2. Ginger Compress low back therapy addresses tension and pain in the low back, constipation, stiffness and is recommended for vata and kapha disorders due to its heating qualities, but beneficial to all. A warm oil back massage in included in this treatment.

  3. Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic oil treatment where warm herbal infused oil is streamed onto the third eye/ forehead of the client from a copper pot suspended above the head. Indications include insomnia, stress, tension, anxiety, anger, chronic headaches, hypertension. Shirodhara gives mental relaxation and helps to overcome stress and its negative effects on the nervous system. Contraindications include excess vata, menstruation, third trimester of pregnancy, lactation, being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, brain tumors, rashes on face or scalp, illness or fever. Shirodhara is not indicated in cases of very low blood pressure, severe debility, lethargy due to high kapha, extremely high vata where the client is unable to sit still.

  4. Netra Basti is a treatment for the eyes where the eye is bathed in plain ghee. This treatment relieves tension in the eye sockets, nourishes the nervous system, brings luster to the eyes and face, improves memory and other mental functions, removes wrinkles, improves complexion, assists emotional release and many other supportive benefits.
